A retelling of the many adventures Kirby has had over the years since 1992.
Updates Saturdays and sometimes Wednesdays.
I realize that Keeby looks exactly like Kirby with the lack of color in this arc. My mistake.
And who here remembers Batamon?
Edit from Dec 19, 2013: Comic edited to make the text more legible.
This page has been remade! Link to the original is here, and a more legible version of that can be found here.
Paula was indeed originally written to have a crush on Kirby, but I've actually completely ditched that by now because that whole "only girl in the group gets with the lead guy" cliche is pretty terrible.
Meanwhile, Batamon is... I can't exactly tell if I made him harsher or softer, or if it really changed much at all. I was almost going to have him make a joke about "good riddens" being a eulogy, but that was... ehh. A bit too dark. For me, not for him.
I'm sorry PikaMario99, but your comment of "Isn't Batamon a Legend of Zelda enemy?" will live on forever in this comic.
Isn't Batamon a Legend of Zelda enemy?
...No, Batamon is an enemy from Kirby's Dreamland 3. (In the games, at least.)
Batamon is a weird enemy from KDL3 that is that looks a ton like kirby but is a bit wider. 'kay?
I remember Batamon! In fact, with the release of Triple Deluxe, I have a theory. There's two ways it could go.
1) Kirby was a Batamon that grew up eating Miracle Fruits. His constant eating of them gave him his inhaling powers, and now that his body is already so saturated with Miracle Fruit power, whenever he eats one he goes Hypernova!
2) Kirby ate one single Miracle Fruit as a little Batamon, and Miracle Fruits only ordinarily give them the inhaling powers Kirby now has. Since he has already eaten one Miracle Fruit and gained powers, any others he eats allow him to temporarily go Hypernova.
I guess both theories depend on all other Batamons becoming extinct after KDL3 (otherwise there would likely be many Kirbies running around, rather than one), which makes sense considering that they weren't really ever seen after KDL3.
@StygianKnight: :P Meanwhile, in this comic we have Batamon as an individual of Kirby's species, which I've taken to calling Popopo, and Kirby having inhaling powers because of...
...hm. I was going to say because of the Sparkling Stars, but that's not it. They just gave him the ability copying in this thing. Which means I don't really have an explanation for Kirby's super-inhaling (which was already implied to be unique or at least relatively rare). Whoops.
...Let's just say because Kirby is the Star, it's him, and leave it at that. >.>
My point was, I'm not necessarily holding this comic to Kirby canon. :P
@CapedLuigisYoshi: ^_^; Haha, author powers..although actually that was just a game theory I have...really doesn't apply to this comic...just thought I'd share it cause Batamon were mentioned.
